Hello! Hello Reader!

It's Wednesday - my new day to be sending you a little bit of something something into your inbox. I'm making the move to Wednesday (Australian time) because I want to do 2 things on a Wednesday; say hello and release a new podcast episode. So, here I am saying hello and today I have not 1 but 2 podcast episodes for you!

Episode 31 is out!

It's the first episode for 2025 and so I thought I'd do a little bit of a recap on where things ended up in 2024 as well as where things are planned to head in 2025.

It's always really weird to just talk to you, the listener, but it's also really nice to just have a one-to-one conversation and touch base.

It's also a big day here because the kiddo is off on his first day of High School. We dropped him off this morning and it was really kind of surreal to be seeing him go into the "big kids school". I'm praying that he has a good year this year. It's going to be a big transition with lots of changes and expectations.

We spent Australia Day weekend in Cairns, which is 3.5hrs (by car) north of where we live. It was a fun weekend away. A nice little way to mark the closing of the holidays. We laughed so much together and it was nice to spend time with the kid without the distraction of devices and every day normality.

I've not done much sewing lately, but I'm hoping to change that this week. The rains have set in and it looks like the monsoonal season is about to start. They're predicting our first cyclone (southern hemisphere hurricane) to form by the end of this week. We could be in for a few weeks of perfect sewing weather!
