Hello! Hello Reader!

An earthquake. We had an earthquake. I kid you not! I was minding my own business on Saturday night when there was a rumble, a massive bang and then a shock wave. It was the weirdest thing I think I have ever experienced from nature. 4.4 on the Richter Scale and the epicentre was only a few hundred meters from our house. I'm very grateful to the Lord that there was no damage and that everyone is ok. What a wild ride 2025 is turning out to be!

In amongst all of that Shauna and I have finished the Lizzy House version of 99 Problems and I am in love! Smitten even. You have no idea how long it took us to decide on the background fabric. We wanted something that was unexpected, gave the fabrics a real chance to shine and made a quilt that was beautiful. I'm so very happy with this plum inspired background (the inspiration for which came from a really unlikely place!).

It's been a rollercoaster, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Now to just work out what to get him as a present... I mean, he already has me - what else could he want? Right! 😉

100 Days 100 Blocks Pattern

The pattern that we'll be using for 100 Days 100 Blocks 2025 (kicks off 1 July) is "99 Problems: 100 Block Sampler Quilt". It's designed by me, yay! It's 100 of my all time favourite blocks in 3 sizes, 6", 12" and 24". Construction is mostly machine pieced with a little bit of Foundation Paper Piecing in there for some added ease and accuracy.
